In Loving Memory of Mrs Noreen Dullea

On Thursday 20th May, our beloved colleague and friend, Mrs Noreen Dullea, passed away. A long-serving member of the Sacred Heart staff, Noreen was loved by all who knew her. Her subjects were Maths and Business Studies, and she was hugely involved in SEN. She was always available to help out at short notice, and was fondly called ‘Super Sub’ as she was consistently on hand to fill in when required.

Hugely popular with the students, she was described as a mother-figure: a kind, generous, giving lady who did her utmost to make sure that every girl received a top-class education. Mrs Dullea made sure that not one girl was left behind.

Those who worked with her remember her genuine interest in others, her kind and compassionate spirit, and her unfaltering enthusiasm for education. Words people used to describe her include gentle, understanding, pleasant, and welcoming.

‘There wasn’t a subject she couldn’t teach,’ said our principal, Ms Brosnan.

A talented educator, Mrs Dullea was an integral part of our school and Sacred Heart mourns the loss of such a wonderful lady.

Requiescat in Pace
