Distance Learning

I hope you and all your family are staying well in these challenging times. Students and teaching staff are adapting to the new reality of distance learning, a new paradigm which is evolving by the day. The platform which the school is using is called “G-Suite for Education”. All students are familiar with this platform as they have been provided with their own personal log in and have been using it for some time. In particular, teachers are using one or more of the following “G-Suite” applications, Google Classroom, Google Hangouts/Meet, Google forms and pre-recorded tutorials via Hangouts and screencastify.

We are very mindful that not all students may have access to high speed or reliable broadband, or have access to a device such as a laptop/chrome-book or PC.  If they do, then there is likely to be a demand for it from others in the household who are also trying to complete assignments or who are working from home.

We encourage all students to log in to their google accounts when possible, during the day, where they can check any posts/notes/slides/assignments/tutorials or times for online classes, that have been placed by the relevant teachers. Where requested please return the assignment/work completed to the teacher in the allotted time for correction and feedback. Should there be any challenges in doing so, then please communicate this with your teacher as soon as is possible.

Well done and thank you once more for your continued engagement with all of your teachers.
