Gaelbhratach

Well done to Transition Year students Laura Sexton, Anna Goyal, Megan Coakley and their teacher ,Mr Phelan ,who attended the Gaelbhratach Gathering on Thursday September 19th in Rochestown Park Hotel.

What is Gaelbhratach?

Gaelbhratach is a reward-based scheme which officially recognises schools which are active in the promotion of Irish throughout the school.T

What is the aim of Gaelbhratach?
The aim of this scheme is to encourage and enable schools to promote Irish in a planned, ongoing, enjoyable way. Gaelbhratach aims to promote the Irish language in a positive manner. It is mostly student-led ,and allows TY students to use their own ideas and creativity to encourage the use of the language around the school, inspiring more and more people to speak it both inside, and out of the classroom while providing various opportunities for them to do so.
