PsychSlam

Once again TY students here at Sacred Heart had fun learning about how psychologists understand people , their thoughts behaviour and feelings.

PsychSlam. Psych Slam is a science communication competition for Transition Year Students run by the School of Applied Psychology at University College Cork.

The PsychSlam competition invites TY student teams to research a topic in Psychology and present their findings in a 6 minute PowerPoint presentation.

Students who participated in this Project included Orla Moroney, Jessica Assare, Lucy Hodnett, Nooran Alrubaye and Maeve Dowling.

We have no doubt that these students will gain experience in team work, building and describing knowledge, and will enjoy talking about psychology with other students, researchers and psychologists.

The topic the students researched was “The Power of the Imagination”They recorded, and submitted their presentation to the Psychology Department in UCC on Thursday, May 6th.
