Careers and college presentations

This week 5th and interested 6th year students attended talks from University of Limerick and the Irish Naval Services, organised by Ms Sexton.

Ireland is surrounded by the sea and its influence on the economy, security and life in general is significant. Yesterday, the Irish Naval Service presented excellent insight to the roles, responsibilities, fleet of ships, areas of operations, foreign deployments that are such an important element of the defence force. Students were made aware of the training and expectations of a career in the defence forces

University of Limerick presented the wide range of courses available. Stand out messages were, work placement, conversion courses, student accommodation, travel opportunities, language courses and progression (no points) routes with QQI level 5 courses were strongly encouraged.Thanks to Ms Sexton for organising such a diverse range of career and college presentations this week. @universityoflimerick #shss #aschoolforall #choosewell #careers
