Donation to MSF from Halloween fundraiser

For the famous Halloween dress-up day this year the Student Council and Student Voice groups decided that MSF or Medicins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders) were worthy recipients for any money raised. Just recently, Ms Meade and the Student Council received a letter thanking the Sacred Heart Community for the donation of €1048.50.

This money has gone to help the people of Gaza where it is now estimated that 1.9 million people are forcibly displaced due to the war that is raging these last four months.

MSF medical teams are working around the clock in 5 hospitals and a primary healthcare facility in the middle area and south of  Gaza to respond to overwhelming influxes of patients.

MSF teams are also receiving displaced pregnant women with complications at the Emirati Maternity Hospital.

MSF's mission is and has always been to provide independent lifesaving medical care to people who need it, irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions.

We would like to sincerely thank all members of our school community who donated to this worthy cause.
