3rd Year German Exchange 2023

24 German Language students from 3rd year in Sacred Heart made the long trip yesterday to Waldaschaff in Germany. We all met early in Cork for the Air coach to Dublin Airport. At the airport the students had an opportunity to do some duty free shopping, eat and plan the week ahead. The group touched down in Frankfurt international airport at 7.05 pm local time and there we were picked up by the reception party from Waldaschaff. A reception in the town gymnasium took place, where host families connected up over pizza and chips. After a long day travelling in was time for some rest. A full week of events and activities is in place, including some German school, a quiz, Karaoke, trip to Aschaffenburg and the 1st ever St. Patrick’s Day parade in Waldaschaff.
