Snow is DEAD to me! We were all geared up for a nice snow day and what happened? Heavy rain. Very disappointing. At least March is living up to its unpredictable reputation. Freezing, windy, sunny, storms. In like a lion and all that. 

Entrepreneurs of the week :  The TY Enterprise students who won awards at the Student Enterprise Regional Finals. 

Daredevils of the week: The TYs who made rockets with Mr Pegler in Physics. Brave.

Artists of the week: The Art students whose work is on display in the Lower Sosh. 

Talk of the week: The breast talk given by the Marie Keating Foundation. 

Victors of the week: The 1st year hockey team who beat Midleton. 

Trip of the week : The Colleges of FET in Cork. 

Patriots of the week: Those involved in the raising of the Irish flag. 175 years. Wow.

Karaoke stars of the week : The teachers who took to the stage for Focus Ireland. Serious talent right there 🙂

Young social innovators of the week: The 3 groups who went to City Hall for #standup23

Best day of the week: International Women’s Day 2023. Go on, the girls! 

Podcast of the week  : The charismatic Diarmuid O’Drsiceoil who came to SHSS to talk about Gaeilge. Ar fheabhas!

Craic of the week: The Big Busk for Focus Ireland. SHSS has got some serious talent. 

Stars of the week: The TYs who made The Southern Star!

Congrats of the week: To past pupils, Jill Mortell and Aoibhe O Brien, who got big jobs in the UCC Students’ Union. Bravo!
