Junior Football Match Analysis by Jill McCarthy

On Thursday the 9th, the SHSS junior football team faced Skibbereen Community School in a county match. The game got off to a flying start, despite terrible weather conditions, with a point from Elva McCauley and goals from Lilah Steward and Clodagh McCarthy. The girls were up at half time with more scores from Aoibhinn O Flynn also. The rain continued but the girls went out and played well but unfortunately Skibbereen came back out strong after the break and scored consistently throughout the half. In the end it finished 5-7 to 4-7, SHSS losing out by only a goal but having shown a great display of teamwork.
