3rd Year History Trip Around Clonakilty

Ms O Donovan’s 3rd year History class visited The Michael Collins’ House museum today.

The girls saw artefacts and revised some Irish history, connecting all the events from the Battle of the Big Cross in Shannonvale to the Civil War, the centenary of which is taking place at the moment.

The group also stopped at other landmarks around town including the birthplace of Mary Jane Irwin, Croppy Quay and Deasy’s Quay.
