The Leaving Certs and the TYs have left the building! What a busy week…

Graduations, Gaisce trips, singing, dancing, barbecues. Everyone was flat out. 

And now, a roundup of the week at SHSS.

Best news of the week: Only ONE week to the summer holidays. One blessed week. Hallelujah. 

Barbecue of the week:  The LC BBQ up at the picnic area. Well done to all the chefs. 

Swimmer of the week : Holly Marx in 3rd year! 

Couturiers of the week: 1D who made gorgeous Regency dresses out of paper. 

 Legend of the week : Mrs Nolan who was honoured for her artistic contribution to Cork. 

Celebration of the week (1): The LC graduation. Slipping through our fingers…

Celebration of the week (2): The TY graduation. A great night!

Sports advocates of the week : Alanah and Jane who went to Dublin to promote sports.  

Ecologists of the week : Ms Galvin’s third years testing soil (I think?).

Ironman of the week: Mr Pegler who swam from Bere Island to Castletownbere!

Sweetest moment of the week(1): Madison, Emma and Amy presenting Eileen and Catherine with flowers.

Sweetest moment of the week(2): The four LC mammies at the graduation! Catherine, Mary Rose, Ms Holland and Ms O Connell. 

Dogs of the week: Stella and Tilly who accompanied their respective masters around the place - Tilly on the Gaisce trip; Stella helping Frank around school. 

Guitarist of the week: Mia Brophy in fifth year.

Blanket of the week: The Harry Styles blanket that went on the 2nd year tour. 

Scratch finalist of the week: Claire Foyle! Well done!
