Sacred Heart Athletics team in action at cross country event.

Thursday 5th of December saw the first outing for the schools Athletics Club at the Cork Schools Cross Country Challenge event in Riverstick. First year students Natalia Dawidowicz and Sinead Crowley put in strong performances in the challenging windy conditions, with Sinead finishing 4th out of 90 competitors. The 2nd and 3rd year team of Amy McCarthy, Ciardha McCarthy, Alannah Harrington, Lucy Hodnett, Lucy O'Flynn, Aoife McSweeney Ryan and Lucy McCarthy also put in a solid performance with the team finishing second overall. Well done to all who all who participated!

Training will continue after Christmas on Mondays at lunchtime on the astro. All welcome.
