Spirituality Day for TY students
On Wednesday the 21st of March, the fourth year students had a fun filled day on their annual retreat. In groups, the students took part in many challenges that varied in difficulty. The day began with a construction of a carrier out of paper plates , followed with a straw connection game. The morning session ended with a discussion in groups about religion - the positives, the negatives and what religion means to us. In the afternoon the students took part in a newspaper search, a word puzzle called ‘Dingbats’ , followed by a discussion on relationships. In the evening session, the students talked about preparing for college and careers. The leaders, Hilda and Mary told personal stories about their own experience. The purpose of all the fun challenges was to show us how everyone will face challenges in life and how some are more difficult then others. But by thinking of solutions, making plans and even asking for help can allow you to overcome these challenges. Overall the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students and they each felt like they had gained a lot from this challenging but exciting day.
