Green School .....Green Flag

To help us mark Earth Day , Monday April 22nd,our GreenSchools class teamed up with Clonakilty Tidy Towns to do a litter pick. The team worked incredibly hard ,as can be seen by the amount of litter they took from footpaths ,but mainly hedges and overgrown areas. The girls were very surprised at how much was just out of sight until we went looking. Their hard work payed off when they were rewarded with a much deserved ,yummy lunch in The Fig and Olive

The TY Students received news that SHSS has been awarded its second Green Flag. The TY Green schools committee have worked tirelessly with Ms. O’ Callaghan during the year,and following a recent inspection of their work by An Taisce, they are being duly recognised through the awarding of the “Green Flag”.
