Work Experience....
Work Experience at School
For my Work Experience, I’ve been working here at Sacred Heart as a scribe for a 1st Year student. My task is to write the exams for the student as she is unable to do so. In the mornings, I would make my way to the 1st Year base classrooms to collect the exam paper and head to the Chapel room in the Old Building with my student. There I would spend the rest of the school hours sitting the exams that she has on that day with her.
This job is very doable and not too complex. At the beginning of it, I didn’t exactly like the idea of doing it but after two days of doing it I can confidently say that I am starting to enjoy it much more than I did before. Being able to work in a school environment gave me a little taste of what it feels like to be a teacher. I was also able to socialise more with the teachers and with my student Fay Farrell. than I normally would have.
I’m very grateful to be given the opportunity to be able to work in a familiar environment such as the school and not a completely foreign one. I will definitely make the most of it for the rest of the week.
Thanks to all who have made this experience so worthwhile.
