HSE Flu vaccination information

Dear Parent/Guardians,

Please note that EduPharma will be attending the school on Monday 14th October, 12:30pm-3:30pm to provide HSE-funded nasal flu vaccines to our pupils. The cut-off for parents to consent to this vaccine will be Thursday 10th of October at 11pm. After this, the school will be removed from the online consent process and no further consents will be possible. This is to allow the school and pharmacists to prepare for the clinic.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We’re pleased to let you know that EduPharma will soon be visiting your child’s school to administer the LAIV Nasal Flu Vaccine, completely free of charge. This programme is fully HSE-funded.

Flu is a highly infectious illness, and unfortunately, children can often suffer more serious complications than adults. In Ireland over the past 10 years, 5,000 children have been hospitalised with flu, 200 have been

admitted to ICU, and tragically, over 40 children have lost their lives to it. But there’s good news – the flu

vaccine is a free, easy and effective way to protect your child. Follow the link below to register your child today:

Why Register for the Nasal Flu Vaccine?

It’s painless – just a quick spray into the nose, with no need for needles.

It’s safe and well-tested – the vaccine is recommended by the Department of Health and is used widely across Ireland. It’s free of charge for all children aged 2-17.

The vaccine helps to prevent flu, protecting your child and reducing the risk of the virus spreading to vulnerable family members, such as elderly relatives.
