Agricultural Science trip to Darrara Ag College

6th yr Ag Science class visited Darrara Agricultural College, on Tuesday March 5th to take part in Irish Agri Aware Farm Walk and Talk event for second-level, Agricultural Science students.

The event offers tremendous insights and learning opportunities for second-level students preparing for their Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science exam and completing their Individual Investigative Study (IIS).

This event was excellent in bringing to life what they usually would learn in class. Leading agri-food experts and lecturers actively demonstrate the practical elements of modern agriculture to students and their teachers and highlight the many benefits of studying such a subject in school, and further into third level.
