Matilda !

We recently wrapped up our 2024 school musical, and what an incredible experience it was! This year’s production of Matilda truly captivated our audiences. Tickets for our four matinees and four evening performances sold out within just an hour and a half, and it’s clear that even adding an extra two or three nights wouldn’t have met the demand.

The atmosphere at showtime was electric, a testament to the 46 years of musical tradition at SHSS. Our very first production, Smike, took place in 1979, and since then, we’ve been proud to earn three gold and two silver All-Ireland medals with our last four productions. It was fantastic to see so many students engaged in every facet of the show, showcasing remarkable talent on stage from both casts.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire school community for supporting yet another successful performance. A special thanks goes to William Browne, our Choreographer, Denise Hayes, our Music Director, and Donna O’Regan, our Musical Director. Their vision and dedication made this production possible.
