Junior Hockey Victory against Regina Mundi

The 3rd year SHSS girls lined up in Garryduff for what was guaranteed to be a great match. The girls faced Regina Mundi, a side they have faced before. The girls started strong with lots of possession and started the scoring with a goal from Clara O‘ Regan to send the girls in front. Regina Mundi then equalised by the end of the quarter and the score was 1-1. There was a great fight from all the girls and in the 2nd quarter Meadbh O’ Mahony sent SHSS ahead with a goal, ending the 1st half 2-1 up. The 3rd quarter had no scores but in the 4th quarter teamwork and persistence won 2 short corners in a row for SHSS. The ball was pushed out to the top of the circle to Abbie Wedlock who took a great shot and scored the girls 3rd and final goal.
