Leaving Cert Graduation 2023

The Class of 23 graduated from SHSS last Monday evening. The 6th year students filed into the GPR where their parents and teachers were seated. Fr Tom Hayes said Mass and gave lots of good advice. The Student Council spoke, as did Mr Sean Crowley, Chairperson of the Board of Management. Mr Pegler, Year Head, called the roll for the last time, echoing Ms O’Neill back in 2017 when she called out the 1st year list in the parish church. Aoife O’Donovan played flute, and the music that followed was wonderful.

The highlight? Bohemian Rhapsody by the 6th year Music class with Mr Browne on bass and Ms Hayes on drums. There were some tears when the students sang ‘Thank You For The Music’ at the end.
