SHSS Spotlight - Victoria Carcopino-Tusoli
TY journalists, Moya Knowles and Sinead Walsh, caught up with international student, Victoria Carcopino-Tusoli. They chatted about her year at Sacred Heart.
Tell us a bit about you.
My name is Victoria and I am from France. I am 15 and a TY student at SHSS. I’m staying with a host family in Clonakilty.
Where in France are you from?
I’m from a big city in the south of France called Marseille.
What made you want to do a year in Ireland?
My parents lived 1 year in Ireland so I always wanted to discover this country. I love travailing and being an exchange student was always something I wanted to do.
What is your favourite Irish food?
I like chicken goujon but French food is still better.
What food food do you miss from France?
French cheese and raclette after skiing.
What’s your greatest memory from Ireland?
The All Ireland finals in Cork and taking part in Oliver Twist.
What was the biggest challenge?
Making friends.
What is one thing you miss most about France?
My family and friends and the weather.
