Second Year Debate

There was an internal 2nd year debate today in the GPR. The judges were Darina Scally, former principal of St Joseph’s Girls’ National School, Kate Deasy, assistant manager of Clonakilty Credit Union, and Conrad Murphy, local solicitor and partner in Collins, Brooks and Associates. The motion before the house was ‘In our changing world, all literature should be censored’ and the motion was defeated. The winning team were Emily Hodnett, Grace O Donoghue and Kerry Coombes. The proposing team were Sian Cook, Lucie Bradley and Annie McCarthy. Huge thanks to Coughlan’s bookshop who sponsored prizes for the winners.

Thanks to their mentor, Ms Crowley.
