Ag Science Trip to Teagasc

The 5th yr Ag Science class visited Teagasc Clonakilty Agricultural College today to take part in Irish Agri Aware Farm Walk and Talk event for second-level Agricultural Science students.

The event offers tremendous insights and learning opportunities for second-level students preparing for their Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science exam and for completing their Individual Investigative Study (IIS).

This event was excellent in bringing to life what they usually would learn in class. Leading agri-food experts and lecturers actively demonstrated the practical elements of modern agriculture to students and their teachers, highlighting the many benefits of studying such a subject in school and at third level.
