The Opening Of The New School Year Mass 2022

The Opening of the School Year Mass took place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception today for the first time in three years. All year groups and their teachers braved the drizzle to join together for this annual celebration. This year’s theme was ‘No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else’.

Our choir and musicians sang hymns and songs, accompanied by their teacher, Ms Hayes.

Mr Walsh welcomed everyone, followed by Ms Sexton reading out the First Year Roll Call. Ms Holland, Ms O Sullivan and Ms Crowley all took the stand to read prayers. Finally, Ms Brosnan gave the closing address, wishing the school community the best of luck for the year ahead.

It was great to have the Opening of the New School Year Mass in the church again! Thanks to the RE Department, the Music Department, to Fr Hayes, and to all those involved in making this a ceremony to remember.
