Seasonal Fruit Crumbles!
Last Friday, Ms Lynch’s Transition Years made golden fruit crumbles as part of their Culinary Skills class in the Home Economics room. The girls made use of free local fruit, some harvesting apples from their own gardens, and others picking blackberries locally, to add to their crumbles.
Using fruit that is in season is an important part of being more sustainable and the girls took this on board with gusto! There were even apples leftover for the girls to share around and bake another crumble with at home! Well done to this group who are really working so well in this module already!
