Minister Simon Harris Visits SHSS!

We were delighted to welcome Minister Simon Harris to Sacred Heart today to speak to our fifth, sixth and LCA students. Minister Harris acknowledged how young people have been affected by the pandemic and also spoke of his gratitude to schools for managing the situation so admirably in such testing times.

He spoke of further education, highlighting apprenticeships and PLC courses. Students asked lots of questions about the cost of college and, of course, the Leaving Cert.

Minister Harris was joined by Senator Tim Lombard, Christopher O’Sullivan T.D. and Chairperson of the Board of Management, Mr Sean Crowley. Past pupil, Anna McCarthy, also came back to SHSS today as part of the Minister’s team.
