Fundraisers of the week: The Student Council giving a big cheque to SVP.
Culture vultures of the week: The second year German class who had lovely treats! Pretzels, swiss rolls and vienna rolls!
Hero of the week: Volodymyr Zelenskyy. What a leader!
Talk of the week: The Language Ambassador talk organised by Ms O Regan from MTU. Languages are so important! Let’s value them.
Possible future medics of the week: The TYs who took part in the MiniMed programme.
Usain Bolts of the week: Ms Lonergan’s students who participated in the South Munster comp. God bless your energy!
Basketballers of the week: Mr Browne’s second years who went to Fr Mathew’s.
Coolest event of the week: Mr Kiely’s TYs who went to a Robotics event in Kinsale.
Musical event of the week: The TY All-Ireland Drama Festival semi-finals in Fermoy. We got through!
TikTok of the week: TYs smearing ashes on the foreheads of students for Ash Wednesday.
Yummiest day of the week: Pancake Tuesday. I had about ten smothered in lemon and sugar. #oldschool
Podcast of the week: Former teacher and all round legend, Mr Liam Nash, came back to SHSS to record a podcast. We miss him!
Victors of the week: The senior football team who beat Colaiste Choilm in a warm up for the FINAL NEXT WEEK!!!
