Sacred Heart Welcomes Philip O'Regan

We were delighted to welcome local historian, Philip O’Regan, to SHSS today to record a podcast about the Famine. Philip, former Digital Editor of The Southern Star, spoke about his passion for History and English at school. He also spoke about his time at the Skibbereen Heritage Centre and the book he co-wrote with Terri Kearney entitled, ‘Skibbereen: The Famine Story’. This podcast is a must listen for any budding historians out there!
