TY Activity Week saw Law Days, self-defence workshops, the SH-Oscars and lots of other cool events. 

And now, a roundup of the week at SHSS.

Best news of the week:  ONE WEEK TO MIDTERM! OMG.

Boffins of the week : Ms Holland’s fifth year Chemistry class who did some kind of titration that crystallised stuff. It looked very cool. 

Musicians of the week: The fifth year composers! Check out their original songs on the school Instagram. 

Most controversial Wordle of the week: Wednesday’s Americanised spelling: humor. Not cool! #jesuisHUMOUR

Drummers of the week: The TYs who got to do a drumming workshop. Bongo city!

Podcast of the week: The inspirational Ciara Byrne who was fun, interesting and full of sound advice. Available soon to download.

Cinema trip of the week: The third year trip to the Park Cinema to see Romeo and Juliet. Leonardo di Caprio (circa 1996) is the sun!

Romantics of the week: Ms O Regan’s 2nd years who made Valentine cards. 

Artists of the week: The TYs who cut the glass for their Stained Glass project today. 

Achievement of the week: Deirdre O’Neill, Amy Mc, Aoife Whelton and Lucy Collins who are through to the exhibition at Croke Park! 

Usain Bolts of the week: The athletes who ran at the South Munster Cross Country Championships.

Barristers of the week: The TYs who took part in a mock trial on Law Day. 

Kung fu fighter of the week: Mr Browne (Sensei Browne) showing his moves in the Self-Defence workshop in the GPR. 

Victors of the week (1): The junior football team who beat Kinsale at Ahamilla. 

Victors of the week (2) : The Junior B hockey team who defeated Bandon Grammar. 

Victors of the week (3) : The first year football team who won their match today! 

Nostalgic time of the week: Ms O Regan’s ‘School Around The Corner’ workshop where TYs got to revisit their primary school days.
