It’s December, folks! Hope your houses are adorned with glitz and tinsel. It is officially the season to be jolly. Crank up your Mariah Carey and get into the spirit!

Only 2.5 weeks to the Xmas hols. It’ll fly! Can’t wait to be on the couch with a tub of Heroes, watching Home Alone, a log fire blazing, and NO ALARM CLOCK. 

Ambassador of the week : Past pupil, Frances Collins, who met Pope Francis as she’s now the Ambassador of the Holy See. Very impressive. 

 Boffins of the week: Mr Shanely’s 1st years who melted some chocolate. 

Coolest moment of the week : When Ursula von der Leyen quoted The Saw Doctors in the Dail. So random!

Sad news of the week: Christine McVie died. Songbird is such a classic. 

Mindful of the week: 1B with their Ogham and High Cross art. 

Rugby stars of the week : Erin, Jo, Roxy, Saoirse, and Clodagh! 

Reminder of the week: Christmas Jumper Day is next Friday Bring in 2 euros in aid of West Cork Women Against Violence Project. 

Upcoming event of the week: The Jingle Mingle next Friday at 1.05 in the Upper Sowsh. Be there. 

Podcast of the week : Victoria’s dad, Professor Xavier Carcopino. Very interesting. 

Podcasters of the week : Nyah and Moya who had to fill in at the eleventh hour. Amazing. 

Paparazzo of the week: Grace Osbourne who took fab photos of Oliver last weekend. 

Bakers of the week: Roisin and Molly who made gorgeous brownies. Yum!

Victors of the week : The Junior B hockey team. 

Debaters of the week : The 2nd years who took part in in-house debates with 5th year mentors.
