Careers Exhibition at Rochestown Park Hotel - by Aoife Godwin Coombs

This Tuesday, our 5th years, 6th years and LCAs paid a visit to Rochestown Park Hotel for an insightful career exhibition, displaying many different Universities and further education pathways. Some options on display were UCC, DCU, Trinity University, MTU, Morrisons Island Campus, Clonakilty Agricultural College (Teagasc), Irish Defense Forces and even some Uk universities such as Cardiff, University of South Wales as well as many

more, showcasing a plentiful array of options for many ambitious students.

SHSS was not the only school benefiting from this event as many secondary schools from across the county were seen flowing in and out of the rooms during our time present there.

Some familiar names were Bandon Grammar, Clonakilty Community College and many more.

As our 6th years and final year LCAs prepare to choose their pathway of choice, the 5th years and first year LCAs get an opportunity to receive invaluable information from the different institute ambassadors, which they may take into account when the decision is up to them a year from now.

A huge thanks to Ms.Sexton, Ms.Galvin, Ms.Kingston, Ms.Hill, Ms.Ni Ghriofa, our bus drivers and Rochestown Park Hotel for facilitating this event, and for the plentiful amount of prospectus booklets we had received.
