TY Medicine and Health Prep

The annual Prep for Medicine and Health took place today at Sacred Heart. It was hosted virtually this year due to the pandemic. Hosted by University College Cork, the course gives a valuable insight into college life at UCC. It also highlights the possible careers available if one opts for a healthcare course at UCC.

The course ran from 09:00- 15:10, in which the students were introduced to the different occupations and specialities, ranging from Midwifery to Dentistry.

TY students heard from experts in each of their respective fields, and this really enhanced understanding of what life could hold after graduation. TYs got a snapshot of the day to day working life of someone in the healthcare sector.

Overall, the day was thoroughly enjoyable and informative.
