And now, a roundup of the week at SHSS.

Filmographer of the week: Mr Browne! He videoed Sister Act, edited it and was involved in the live streaming of both performances. For the first time in SHSS history, our annual musical was viewed from the comfort of a sitting room. Amazing! 

Musical stars of the week (again) : The Red and Yellow casts of Sister Act the Musical! Terrific singing, acting and dancing! Streamed to audiences at home. Fantastic. 

Farewell of the week: We said ‘adios!’ and ‘au revoir’ to Aina and Clara, two of our international students. 

Heroes of the week : The Student Council and Ms O’Regan’s 5th year LCVP class for raising all that money for St. Vincent de Paul. 

Artists of the week (1) : The first year Gaeilge students who made gorgeous Nollaig Shona posters. 

Artists of the week (2) : The third years who made lovely French Christmas posters. Joyeux Noël! 

Artists of the week (3) : Ms O Connell’s first years who made gorgeous Christmas decorations 🎄

Past pupil of the week: Frances Collins who was appointed Ambassador to the Holy See! Wow! 

Coolest experiment of the week :  Ms Quirke’s science students who tried exothermic reactions. 

Podcast of the week : The eighth #shsspodcast featuring Justin Grounds. It even has a beautiful rendition of Bach at the end. A must listen! 

Victors of the week(1):  The Senior Football team who are now in the Munster Semi Final! Yahoo! 

Victors of the week (2): The Minor Hockey team who beat Bandon Grammar!

Cutest moment of the week: The staff’s Secret Santa party. Mince pies, treats and presents! 

Jetsetter of the week : Romeo Daly! New York, Arizona … Where to next?
