Sacred Heart Welcomes Tim Crowley

The seventh SHSS Podcast took place today featuring local historian, Tim Crowley. Tim runs the Michael Collins Centre in Castleview near Clonakilty. He kindly came to school today to record an interview about Michael Collins, the War of Independence and the Anglo Irish Treaty of 1921. The centenary of the signing of the Treaty is coming up on the 6th December.

The interview was led by TY students, Kate Nolan and Lucy Collins. We can’t wait for this podcast to be published as it was fascinating. Tim’s passion for this époque is clear: he is a veritable aficionado. If you haven’t visited his museum, then put it on your list. It’s filled with original artefacts and Tim gives a comprehensive and detailed tour.
