SHSS WEEKLY ROUNDUP - 12th November 2021

This was a CRAZY week! Cookie sales, football games, camogie matches, podcasts, film productions, basketball shooting comps… 

Everyone was flat out. 

And now, a roundup of the week at SHSS.

Chef of the week: Ms O’Regan and her delicious cookies.  Hope you bought some!

Best news of the week: Christmas is only 6 weeks away. So excited!!!!!!

Victors of the week (1) : SHSS Senior Camogie team who won their match against Pres in Thurles.

Victors of the week (2): The SHSS football team who won the Munster Round 1 game against Bantry.

Victors of the week (3): The Junior B Football team who defeated Mount st Michael.

Superstar of the week: Past pupil, Mrs Noreen Minihan, on winning the Cork Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award! Well deserved!

Artists of the week: The TYs painting the backdrops for Sister Act. Such talent!

Alumnus of the week:  Christopher O’Sullivan TD. Did you know that he repeated his Leaving at SHSS? 

Most energetic students of the week: Lauren Eady and Aoibhín Ryan who won prizes in the Basketball Shooting Competition in aid of SVP, organised by the 5th year LCVP class.

Most energetic teacher of the week: Mr Mulcahy who won the teacher prize for the same thing. 

Exciting news of the week: SHSS is going to be renovated! Yippee! 

TikTok of the week: Laura, Alannah and the victorious Clonakilty Camogie team after their win on Sunday!

Mug of the week: The mug the Class of 2021 made Mr Pegler last year. It currently resides in Room 4. Look at Tilly!

Coolest moment of the week: When past pupil, Louise O’Neill, met Ms Keane again. 

 Podcasts of the week: Lord David Puttnam (who was so funny and nice) and Louise O’Neill (yes, the famous writer who is also a former pupil of SHSS). Listen to them on Spotify! Available soon.
