FREE VIRTUAL STEM SOUTH WEST INDUSTRY & CAREER EXPO 2021

STEM South West’s Industry & Career Expo is back for its 2nd year and is taking place on January 13th between 5pm and 9pm. Once again, representatives from the STEM industry in Ireland are coming together to host an evening-long programme that promises to deliver invaluable insight into a sector that is as fascinating as it is important.

This free virtual event is aimed at thousands of students from Cork and Kerry with an interest in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, and its goal is to encourage Ireland’s future workforce to look at a career in these industries by demonstrating to them just how exciting, interesting and exhilarating these subjects can be in the real world.

STEM South West 2021 will showcase careers in tech, pharma and engineering and highlight achievable pathways for students to fulfil their career goals. This unique exhibition will feature demonstrations in virtual reality, robotics and astronomy, as well as thought-provoking talks from experts in the areas of construction, information technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, electronics, weather-forecasting, agri-technology, environmental engineering, cyber-security and more.

This year, we are delighted to welcome Madeleine Hearn, GC, onto the STEM Southwest board as our guidance counsellors’ representative. The Cork Branch of the IGC will be participating at the event.
