Junior Hockey team record cup victory over Kerry opposition!
The Junior Hockey team got their cup campaign off to a winning start today with a 6-0 win over Intermediate School Killorglin. The girls set off early and after a two hour bus journey arrived to sunshine and a picturesque backdrop of the Kerry mountains. Sacred Heart started well and got two swift goals within the first quarter. Killorglin stepped up their defence in the second quarter and the score remain unchanged at half time. Sacred Heart dominated possession in the third quarter and were unlucky to come away with only one goal. With 15 minutes left, Sacred Heart stepped it up a gear controlling the ball all over the pitch. Some great play and team work resulted in three quick goals, with the score line finishing 6-0. They girls face Ballincollig Community School in the next round of the cup.
