Transition Year Art Appreciation

‘A little colour for dreary November!’ says Sacred Heart’s inspirational art teacher, Judy O’ Connell.

The ‘colour’ she is referring to is the stunning art work currently exhibited around the school. The gestural splash paintings are inspired by Jackson Pollock, the colour field painting paintings by Mark Rothko - mid 20th century Abstract Expressionists.
The TY students took the symbolic colour of each year group in the school and created a painting for them.
