Green Schools Clothing Sale!

The TY Green Schools Committee had a clothing sale in the GPR today to raise money for St Vincent de Paul. Organised by Lucy McCarthy, Jennifer McCarthy and Sarah Coakley, students brought in old clothes to be sold in a flash sale at lunchtime. There were lots of bargains. Green Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools.

Green Schools jars called Jolly Jars, painted by Ciara White and Aoibhe Daly, were also available. These attractive jars were an example of the many ways you can up-cycle glass you find around the house. Promoting sustainable living was the objective today. Well done to all the students involved.
