Sacred Heart among the top Secondary Schools in Ireland!
Sacred Heart Secondary School features in the Sunday Times report on the top schools in the country
The annual Sunday Times Best Schools Guide 2020, which was published on 27th of September, measures the progression of all second-level students over a three-year period — from 2017 to 2019 — to universities, institutes of technology and other third-level colleges.
It then ranks them according to the average proportion of pupils gaining places in the autumn 2017, 2018 and 2019 at one of the 10 universities on the island of Ireland, main teacher training colleges, Royal College of Surgeons or National College of Art and Design.
The top 400 secondary schools are featured in a supplement in the Sunday Times newspaper and an extended table of the top 500 schools is published online at thesundaytimes.ie.
Sacred Heart Secondary school was placed in the top 7% of schools nationally, being paced 52nd out of a total of 724 schools, according to the Sunday Times report. As well as the high rates of progression of students to 3rd level, the school also has a diverse range of Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities as part of its holistic approach to education.
Congratulations to all students and staff!
