Best of Luck to our Young Scientists!

BT Young Scientist

Fourth year students Sinead O’Donovan, Ruby Edmead and Ruth Shanley have been accepted to go to this years BT Young Scientist in the RDS, Dublin.

Their project title is ‘A case for the statutory labeling of carbon footprint on food’

They have researched into the idea to label all foods in supermarkets that have a carbon footprint. This would raise awareness on your carbon footprint when you’re shopping.

The girls are traveling up to Dublin tomorrow with neighboring schools and are staying above till the competition finishes on Saturday. We hope the girls enjoy the experience and we wish them the best of luck.
