Munster Junior Camogie Blitz

The junior 7’s teams travelled to HolyCross to compete in the junior 7’s camoige blitz. .First team two, took on Doon.As the conditions became heavy ,the girls fought on.The game started with a great point from Aoife O’Flynn Meade and a goal from Alannah Sexton.This was only the start of their superb playing.Pressure from Mia O’Driscoll,Margaret Sexton and Cliodna O'Brien drove Donn away from the goal allowing the ball to travel back into the full forward where Ciardha McCarthy and Alison Mc Carthy helped work the ball into the back of the net. Their determination continued into their match against Ursilines.

Team 1 first, took on Doon.They began the game with Millie Condon quickly scoring two goals.This followed by Katie o Driscoll scoring a goal and Siofra Patwell putting over a point.Ellen O’Riordan and Niamh mc Carthy made sure to keep the ball in good range of our forwards. Grace Nyhan saved multiple goals and delivered great puck outs up the pitch.The great play won them the match , they then had the A final against Ursilines.

In the final Niamh Kennedy , Rachel deasy and Ciara Hourihane remained calm and defended the goal, the ball was then passed up towards Tara Fleming Amy mc Carthy , Millie Condon and Katie O ‘Driscoll.As the conditions got worse sacred heart kept fighting until the whistle blew , unfortunately it wasn’t Sacred Hearts day in the final as Ursilines got some quick scores and took the cup home.
