Senior Football Team continue their winning start!

The senior football team set out yesterday in sunshine and bitter cold to take on Mount Mercy in Ahamilla with Ms.O’Brien. 

The game quickly got going with midfielders Bríd Collins and Grace Tobin playing the ball into the full forward line.As  the persistent forwards pressed against the Mount Mercy backs , the first goal came from Ciara Deasy.This was only the start of Sacred Heart’s game.The pressure on the Mount Mercy forwards by Alannah O’Brien ,Grace Tobin and Katie O’Driscoll resulted in the ball landing in but only to be sent back out again.

As the game went on the intensity increased , Mount Mercy started to put over some scores.At half time Sacred heart was up 2 points.Kiya O’Mahony with Orlaith Deasy and Ciara O’Sullivan drove forward and ended up putting 4:6 over in the second half.Mount Mercy were getting tired and rougher as the game went on.It ended with Sacred Heart with a victorious score of 8:6 to 3:8.
