Sacred Heart Bowl Them Over !

Sacred Heart’s senior road bowling team won the schools championship today at Shannonvale. Fighting off opposition from 8 other competing schools the trio of Margaret Sexton, Sarah Harrington and Hannah Sexton emerged victorious. Each girl played 6 excellent shots and finished with a total of 1639 metres beating their nearest challengers by 350 metres. Sacred Heart also finished third in this category with a team comprising Ellen O Hea, Alice Sexton and Lauren Walsh.

The Junior girls can be very proud of their second place finish, bested only by a superb Coachford outfit, who’s score was second best overall on the day. The Junior team amassed a total of 1303 metres, the trio of Grace Murphy, Ellen Sexton and Sinead Walsh can be very proud of their efforts.

Other notable performance on the day came from Nicole Hayes O Donovan, Kellie O Gorman and Eimear O Brien.
