Intercultural Extravaganza for Sacred Heart Secondary School.

SHSS Cultural Extravaganza

On Friday 25th of October a cultural extravaganza will be held in the GPR.The main objective of the event is to include and celebrate each culture in SHSS. This will be done by displaying a stand representing every culture in the school. All stands will display the countries flag, cuisine, culture and much more. The day will be organised by the Student Council. It will begin at 1pm, with an official opening by the Clonakilty Mayor, Michael O’ Neill and will run until 3.20pm. Residents from the Clonakilty Lodge will prepare food and inform students about their native cooking as well as four different guest speakers from different nationalities who will also attend to tell stories from their country. It is a whole school approach to include and embrace all cultures. All students are encouraged to participate and attend.
