First Year Success in History Competition

Congratulations and well done to our first-year class 1.1 who have come joint first place in the secondary school tier DRAW MY PAST competition held by the Irish Family History Centre, Dublin. The girls had to choose an interesting or inspiring ancestor from their own family history to draw and write about. The class were described as ‘very talented and naturally story-tellers’. This competition helps students take their first steps into their own family story through creativity and historical detective research. The class have won a free workshop where they will explore their family history further in the Irish Family History Centre. Many thanks to their teacher Ms Lane
