1st Year Basketball Team secure county title at Neptune Stadium.

Our first years traveled to Neptune Stadium, the home of Cork Basketball, on Wednesday to contest their County Final against St. Mary's Charleville. 

Sacred Heart had a strong start in the first quarter but St Mary's rallied at the start of the second. Some great shooting by Siofra Patwell helped Sacred Heart settle again to leave the west cork side up 18 points to 6 at half time. Large parts of the second half were one way traffic and the match was effectively wrapped up by the end of the third quarter. In the end Sacred Heart came out on top on a scoreline of 28 points to 14. 

The team will now go forward an represent Cork in the All Ireland Series which will be run off after Easter.
