Practically Perfect! ‘Mary Poppins’ the Musical comes to Clonakilty

Once again it’s show time in Sacred Heart Secondary School, Clonakilty. Students are

currently rehearsing to present the jubilant and enchanting musical that is Cameron

Mackintosh’s stage adaptation of the beloved ‘Mary Poppins!’ Audiences will step back in

time to play games and sing the iconic songs “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, ‘A

Spoonful of Sugar’ and ‘Chim Chiminey’ with everyone’s favourite nanny.

In the year of Poppins’ highly anticipated return to the big screen, students Fodhla Daly and

Clodagh Murphy step into shoes first made famous by Julie Andrews and take hold of the

coveted umbrella. With the every cheery Aoibhinn Ruddy and Sarah Connolly as Dick Van

Dike’s Bert, this years show is set to be an exciting and magical experience for all who come

to see it.‘Mary Poppins’ runs from Wednesday 28th November - Saturday 1st December.
