Opening of School Year Mass Celebrates the Family of Sacred Heart

The annual Sacred Heart Secondary School year mass took place on Tuesday the 19th of September 2017 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty.  Juniors, seniors, staff and parents gathered together to celebrate the theme of the school mass for the year 2017 – 2018 : ‘’May we continue to grow spiritually, in friendship and in love in the spiritthat is family of Sacred Heart.’’ After a welcoming speech by the Principal, Deputy Principal and Chairperson of the student council, Katie Sexton, the service was carried out by Fr. Aidan. Members of the junior and senior choir, orchestra and trad group were accompanied by Ms. White, Ms Meade and Mrs. Hayes. Here, they sang beautiful hymns, reminding everyone of the support that Sacred Heart provides. We hope that through the prayers said today that the school year of 2017-2018 will be yet again a success for those of Sacred Heart.
