Junior Football Team get off to a Flyer!

On October 2nd 2017, Sacred Heart’s junior football team competed against Maria Immaculate Community College, Dunmanway in Ahamilla. The team is trained and coached by Mr. Kiely who accompanied the team to the match. Within the first two minutes of the match, the girls of Sacred Heart were ahead by two goals. Alision Moriarty made spectacular saves in both the first and second halves of the game and allowed the home team to be ahead at all times.

During the second half, Sacred Heart had the most possession over the ball. They continued to play through the rain and as a result had a tremendous win with afinal score of Sacred Heart : 4 – 12 : 0 – 6 : Maria Immaculate. This was down to their determination, hard work and effort put into the game. We are excited to see where this year will take the Sacred Heart junior football team.
